Techniques to discover & Explore Your Partner in Ropes

Getting to Know You

Aisatsunawa—greeting rope & Ipponnawa—one rope play with STUART

I’m very excited to announce this workshop with the wonderful Stuart (IG: aka a.veces.cuerdas) on March 31st!

I was blessed to get to know and tie with Stuart for the first time last year in Barcelona, and though it was only a few days, our shared experiences echoed in me long after, and still does.

As a sensualist above all, it’s a rare treat to connect with someone tuned into that same frequency. Stuart is right there, and he brings it ALL!

I know I was not the only one who’s been asking him when he’ll start to teach, and just recently he answered our calls and has started giving workshops. It’s therefore extra exciting that I get to host the first—but most definitely not the last—of Stuart’s workshops in Berlin.

The Workshop: Getting to Know You

Aisatsunawa—Greeting rope
Ipponnawa—One rope play

This workshop will focus on these floor-based practices using only one rope, with the intention of exploring how each partner in a tying pair is feeling, both physically and energetically.

When first sharing ropes with someone, these techniques aid in discovery of likes and limitations while exploring closeness and intimacy.

They also benefit established tying pairs, as a way of warming up at the start of a session, meeting each other energetically, and discovering where the session might lead next.

ABOUT stuart

Stuart started his journey into ropes in 2014, and spent several years studying with as many teachers as possible.

In recent years he focused on Naka-style Semenawa, and later on Aibunawa, more commonly known as Yukimura-ryu.

These days, he ties Aibunawa with one hand and Semenawa with the other, yet ties with both hands.
